Are Tummy Tucks cheaper when they are done with a Hysterectomy? |
These days that depends on the facility or hospital your doctors are utilizing. In the "old days" a hospital would allow the patient the opportunity to be charged a one time fee for the operating room or facility through their insurance company for both procedures. This is NOT the case now as most hospitals add additional facility charges with this particular "combo case". I have always felt combining these two procedures under one setting has been beneficial to the patient but it is no longer cheaper to do so unless the female surgery required could be performed on an outpatient basis.

At my age(46), would it be OK to have a tummy tuck and or breasts done? |
This is the Prime age! Most people don't really need a Tummy Tuck or Breast Surgery in their 20's and 30's. Signs of child bearing, gravity, and age all begin to show their effects in the 40's. So, patients your age are usually prime candidates for one or both of these procedures. Both body image and self confidence will be improved and your results will have a dramatic affect on your self esteem. Words of wisdom though,it is my advise to have these procedures done separately because this can be too much anesthesia at one time and these two surgeries share the same blood supply which can cause some post-operative complications. Also, the cosmetic surgeon really needs to look at your body symmetry after each surgery to achieve the best results. |

At Thanksgiving I saw my mother and I realized that I was beginning to age and sag just like her. Is it too early to have a facelift at 46? |
No, during the holidays we all see a brief glimpse of the future and are reminded of our genetics. More and more "40 Something" patients are opting for a mini-facelift to rejuvenate their sagging faces with minimal downtime. |
